As an independent physician, Dr. Koenig admits to both of the major hospitals in the Fort Smith area. He has been on the active staff of both St. Edward Mercy Medical Center and Sparks Regional Medical Center since returning to Fort Smith in 1973.

We consider both of these institutions to be excellent facilities. Should the necessity arise for you to be hospitalized, we will give you the choice of which hospital you would like to go to. You should be aware that many insurance plans require that you go to one or the other hospital to receive the maximum level of payment for your health care. Whatever your choice, we will be there to take care of you during your hospitalization.\

At the present time, Dr. Koenig does not admit patients to the following area hospitals: Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital, Crawford County Memorial Hospital.
